One scan of a tag on a child's backpack, a pet's collar, or a suitcase starts a private live video, voice, or text conversation with the family behind it: no app for the person scanning, and no phone number revealed. We are PhoneTag, a small family company in Sea Cliff, New York, and every order is packed and shipped by us.

The problem
Most young children do not carry phones, and most parents do not want them to. The same is true at the other end of life: many elderly loved ones do not use or keep track of one.
